    Notepad is not functioning


    Hello Community members,I have windows 11 installed on my laptop and below is the system information. The notepad is not functioning. I have tried various options like reset, repair, uninstall & install, etc., but all my efforts ended in vain-------------------------Edition Windows 11 Pro Version 23H2 Installed on ‎12-‎Apr-‎24 OS build 22635.3785 Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22700.1023.0 ---------------------------How to fix this issue. I know that there are other alternatives for notepad, but, this seems to be an issue with the OS. Thus, wanted to bring to the wider att

    Hi Rich,

    I suggest that you use "WordPad" in Windows 10 to accomplish your task. Notepad is just too basic for this function.

    Notepad getting stuck

    Hi,

    Kayece here, An Independent advisor and a user just like you. I will be happy to assist you today.

    I understand that your notepad is not functioning properly after you have accidentally opened a notepad file. Please restart your device and see if the notepad is working again.

    If you still have the same, I suggest repairing your Notepad app. Follow the steps below.

    Press Win logo key + Q to open the search box and type Notepad> right-click Notepad at the top of the result list > App settings > Repair. Then restart your device.

    If the issue still persists, please follow the steps again, and this time choose reset. After resetting, please restart your device again.

    I suggest you to follow the steps provided below:

    • Open Task Manager. Here’s a tip: press CTRL+SHIFT+ESC.
    • Click on Startup tab.
    • Select Notepad from the list and click on Disable.
