Windows 10: notepad no longer has a replaces all feature, only replace one value at a time

In the new version of Windows notepad.exe, CTRL+H no longer has a Replace All feature, only a Replace single value at a time.If the file has a lot of replacements to make, this makes it unfeasible to use the new version of Windows notepad.exe.

Replace Notepad in Windows 10 1909 with Dark Notepad

I don't find anything from Dark Notepad authors on how to set it as Default. So I would contact them through the link which appear at the bottom of their Download page in MS Store app, which every app maker must provide to support their app. Let them know
you're airing this in Microsoft Community forums where we are waiting to hear how they suggest to do this.

If your Dark Notepad app doesn't have similar then toward the end of that tutorial there is a registry edit to replace the Notepad default you can try.

Notepad replaced by WordPad

Click your Start Button, then just type notepad

Does Notepad not show up in the resulting list?

If not, open the Settings App, then go to Apps and click 'Manage Optional Features'

Click the 'Add a Feature' button, is Notepad in the list of features that can be added?

If so, add Notepad back to Windows

Then, right click any txt file and choose Properties, on the resulting dialog, click 'Change'and form there, you should be able to set Notepad as the default application for text files . . .

 

Notepad replace character with linefeed

using the replace feature in Notepad, is there a way to replace a character such as: "[" the left bracket say with a combinatioin to effect a "LineFeed and then the "[" bracket. really just element with special characters or elements, I think I'm beginning
