    Running Windows 8.1 since 2014. I have Notepad on the taskbar. Until recently 2 or 3 months I just clicked once on the taskbar icon and Notepad opened full screen with a single click, no adjustment necessary. Then, a short while ago Notepad started opening more to the left edge hiding it and leaving a gap on the right. Recently, it has moved more to the left. Now, I used a partial fix from a YouTube video but it still takes 2 clicks to open and opens complete in format but less than full screen. Hopefully, someone here will offer a fix to get Notepad to open complete with one click, as in th

    How do I get Notepad to list recently opened Notepad files?

    Today, right clicking on the Notepad icon on the taskbar has stopped giving a list of recently open Notepad files. This list is extremely useful to me. Is there any way to recover this feature ?

    UPDATE: When I left click and right click several times, there intermittently appears the list of recently open Notepad files. But I don't have a reliable method for accessing this list. Grrr.

    Will much appreciate help.

    Opened documents for Notepad reference 2 icons in Taskbar


    I have been noticing that whenever I open up existing TXT documents, I get them all referencing the same Notepad icon in the Taskbar; this is the way it is supposed to work. However, if I open up the Notepad application from scratch to get a new document, an additional Notepad icon in the Taskbar is generated, to which that new document reference. *Mad Additional new documents also reference this additional icon, so at most I only 2 icons.

    This is unacceptable as real estate on the Taskbar is scarce. I would like for all Notepad documents to reference the same, solitary Notepad icon. How do I fix this?

    All documents seem to be running Version 1511 (OS Build 10586.318)

    Can't right-click notepad icon in taskbar

    I opened Notepad with Run dialog, but still can't right-click the notepad icon on Taskbar.

    It doesn't work for me Notepad on taskbar - takes 2 clicks to open and it opens smaller than full screen :(
