Windows 10: Notepad open files goes to pictures

Discus and support Notepad open files goes to pictures in Windows 10 Customization to solve the problem; When I go to open my files on Notepad, it opens the Pictures windows, not my list of files.     Notepad open files goes to pictures


    When I go to open my files on Notepad, it opens the Pictures windows, not my list of files. I cannot find where to fix this. My files are still out there, I just have to remember what their names are and I don't remember what they all are. It's not right. I want my list of files to open, not pictures.

    Notepad automatically opening when ABA file downloaded

    Hi Fiona,

    We suggest that you follow these steps to uncheck the Always open this type of file:

    • Right click on an ABA file.
    • Hover your mouse cursor on Open with and select Choose another app.
    • Uncheck the Always open this type of file and click on
      OK      .

    How to Open this File win10 x64

    use "open with" and try notepad or picture viewer

    iuf one works then check the box to set the file association

    How do I get Notepad to list recently opened Notepad files?

    Today, right clicking on the Notepad icon on the taskbar has stopped giving a list of recently open Notepad files. This list is extremely useful to me. Is there any way to recover this feature ?

    UPDATE: When I left click and right click several times, there intermittently appears the list of recently open Notepad files. But I don't have a reliable method for accessing this list. Grrr.

    Will much appreciate help.
