Windows 10: Notepad shortcuts do not work with DropBox

DropBox just did an update that DISABLED the pinned files on Notepad. I can access the files by setting the windows default .txt files to be notepad. However, if I pin the file to the shortcuts on the notepad I get the message that notepad can not access the file. The same is true for the "recent files"


What is the workaround for that?

2 options:

Right click your Desktop, choose New - Shortcut

In the location box, type notepad.exe and click Next

Name that Shortcut Notepad and click Finish

Click your Start Button, then just type notepad

From the resulting list, right click Notepad and choose 'Pin to Start'

That will put a new Tile on your Start Menu for easy access to Notepad

 

Deleting Dropbox

• Press Windows + X, click on Control Panel.
• Under Programs, select Uninstall a program.
• Select Dropboxfrom the list of programs, and click Uninstall.

Notepad & wordpad in Win 10?
