Notepad shows my folder names in Hebrew, even though my Windows display language is...

I have new Windows 11 lap top, and have added Hebrew as a second input language. I didn't change the Windows display language. All has been fine for a couple of weeks[*], but I have just noticed that when I save a new file in Notepad, it shows my folder names in Hebrew. If I look at the same folders in File Explorer, then show in English as expected...You can see the display language setting circled in red, File Explorer in green, and the "Save as..." dialog from Notepad in orange.I have a few other programs installed, and all of them show correctly in English. It's only Notepad that's showing

    :)

  3. Clock is upside down after installing hebrew display language

    Hi Yuval,

It is unusual that the clock would display that way after installing Hebrew display language.

In order to identify if this is due to a corrupted display language being installed, I suggest you to try changing the default language and check if the issue persists. Follow the steps provided below:

    1. Press Windows key + I to open settings.

    2. Click Time and language > Region and language

    3. Click "add a new language" and choose a different language.

    4. After changing to a different language, restart the computer and check again.

If that resolves the issue, remove the previous Hebrew language and re-install again.

Let us know the result, we will be glad to help if you need further assistance.

Notepad shows my folder names in Hebrew, even though my Windows display language is...

Not able to set Hebrew as the display language ("Set as default" button is disabled)

    Thank you for the update.

If you are seeing Hebrew supplemental fonts and Hebrew typing
from Settings, it means that the language feature is already added on your device. However, to make sure that the full language pack is already installed, instead of clicking
Set as default, click on Options and see if it will give you an option to download the language pack and add a keyboard.

It is also necessary to look for a language that reads Language pack installed
to set that language as default.

If not, try uninstalling all the language packs/features using the Command Prompt and download it again:

    • Press Windows key + X.
    • Choose Command Prompt (Admin).
    • On the Command Prompt window, type Lpksetup /u.
    • Press Enter to open the Install or uninstall display languages
      panel.
    • Uninstall the language (Hebrew).
    • Reinstall the language again by following the steps on this
      article
      .

If you need further assistance, don’t hesitate to reach us.
