Pasting from clipboard

Thank you, The first suggestion worked. The second did also provided I did not click in the Paint window first.

I'd spent some time trying to work it out for myself but was fooled by the clipboard window always closing prematurely. So thanks again.

Also thanks to Frederick, although solved, I've noted your alternative suggestion.

 

Instead of Pasting Clipboard I get Cortana

I don't use that method of Copy/Pasting

I use the old fashion CTRL+C (copy) & CTRL+V (paste)

But I tried playing around with Win+V. Apparently you still need to use CTRL+C (to copy something), and use Win+V to open that modern clipboard app. But before pressing Win+V, press the location of where you want to paste something, then press Win+V.

Let's take an example: Highlight this sentence, and press CTRL+C on your keyboard.
Now open Notepad, and press Win+V. It will show your Clipboard app, and what is copied on your clipboard. Press that entry that you copied from above (which shows in the Clipboard app), and it will get pasted into Notepad.

Anyone have any other suggestions?

Click your Start Button, then just type paint and form the resulting list open the Paint Application

In Paint, press Ctrl + V does that image paste form the clipboard?

If not, leave Paint open, press the Windows Key + V to open the clipboard

Click the Paint window, then click that image on the clipboard app, does that paste the image into Paint?
