Windows 10: Notes field in some Contacts in Exchange / Outlook / ActiveSync lost most text in a few...

A few months ago I migrated our Exchange to a new provider with a good and long-standing reputation. No issues so far -- except one.I recently noticed that in the Notes field for a certain Contact, most of the lengthy text that was in there has disappeared, leaving only the beginning of the text.It was gone from the local Windows 10 Outlook client, from the default Contacts app on the Samsung S22 Ultra Android phone using ActiveSync and gone from the Outlook > Apps > Contacts module on the phone, and gone from OWA.I asked the Exchange hosting provider for advice and they couldn't think

Outlook - Notes field - Is it correct there is no 'Notes' field?

I exported contacts from my default account to a .csv file
Then imported that file into another account and at the point of mapping fields I mapped a UserField ("User 3") to Notes.

Indeed it arrived in Notes. When viewing the contracts in "List"-mode the User 3 column remained empty.

So, one way or the other, it looks like being handled as a field (?)

You are correct that this is the Notes field.

If you had opened that exported csv file in Excel, you would have seen your Notes field [in my test it was in column BZ]. But it will have lost all its formatting.

Outlook apparently avoids a problem by not giving us ready access to this field in anything other than the form itself [and in a form you design using the Developer tab, Design this/a form].
This is probably because Notes is a 'Memo' data type field [in Access terms] which Outlook regards as hard to work with.
Memo type fields can contain a full range of varying formats just like an embedded document. No other Contact fields contain formatting.

What are you trying to achieve?

Text truncated on device - Notes field in Contacts

Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 ActivSync Windows Mobile 6 to HTC phone. No problems with the sync of Calendar/Contacts/Tasks except that the Notes field on the phone has the above text truncated message on those Contacts where I have made long notes. I use
these Note fields to record Sales call history, and so would like to be able to have them on my phone. Is there a way to enlarge the amount of text allowed in the Note field?
