Windows 10: Nothing changed yet everything changed

Huge PC problem started about 24 hours ago. I was gone for the day but did not shut down and when I returned, I had 2 fundamental problems.

<****>VERY VERY VERY slow
RE: distorted screen - I now have 2-3" of black space on each side of my presented Window. I am using the same display I have used for many years and never had a problem. Display Settings says that I am using the recommended 1920x1080 resolution, but it is not rendering that on the screen. Photos look like they have been distorted in a horror house of mirrors. Nothing looks right. Any ideas.


RE: slow. Nothing THIS slow has ever happened. I get perpetual 'Unresponsive page' and other similar error messages. I tried to launch/login to hotmail about an hour ag****y 'unresponsive'.


I have no errors indicated from Windows Defender, Malwarebytes and Eset scans.

I have not made any recent adds or changes to the system or configuration.

Task manager shows no unusual CPU usage 3-4% or unusual network usage.


I am completely clueless about corrective actions to take. Any ideas? I'm using my laptop to send this, since the desktop is essentially dead.

With effort, I can obtain more details, but the computer is Dell refurbished new about a month ago and the OS is a very current Windows 10.

Signature change for dummies

Could someone please give a step by step how they changed to asus top sig.I've voltmoded my card and flashed to about 5 bios.Even brought this card back to life with another pci card.For the life of me i can't figure out how to change the signature.RBE works fine for me with anything else.I must be reading it wrong*Slap :slap:
