Windows 10: Nothing started after update and now stuck in Safe Mode?

My Dell laptop computer has always had problems, ever since I got it in 2017. The laptop has always been a bit slow. At one point the hard drive crashed and we had to replace it; it's still remarkably slow at times, and the browser has a tendency to freeze. Sometimes when opening settings, it'll take too long, give up, and shut off the Settings app. When the computer updates which is about once a week, the laptop's near-unusable until it's done installing may take hours, so I let it do this over the day or overnight and rebooted, as everything will stall.Yesterday it updated. I let it run

Stuck in safe mode in windows 10

Safe mode is intended to help fix most, if not all problems within an operating system, it's not good if we got stuck on it. To correct this, we suggest that you follow the steps below to exit out of Safe mode:

• Open Run command by pressing Windows key + R
  keys on the keyboard and type msconfig in the command box and press
  Enter.
• Under General tab, put a check on Normal Startup option.
• Reboot the system and check if the changes are effective.

Let us know if you are able to exit out of Safe mode with these steps.

 

Boot into Safe Mode on Windows 10  


I am stuck in Safe Mode in spite of following all the suggested steps to go back to Normal Startup - Like opening file location of msconfig.exe & running as Administrator. The computer I am trying to get out of safe mode has just been updated from Windows 7.

I understand that as repeating the basic problem. Is that what you mean? I can't tell you why- some sort of corruption- hence all the steps I'm suggesting. Please try each in turn.

The first are to check for basic forms of corruption and so proceed onwards in order.
