  2. I entered BIOS settings, but i don't see any option to change boot priorities

    Hi Shubham,

I understand your concern with changing the boot priority options in the BIOS. However, I would suggest you to get in touch with your computer manufacturer to get the boot priorities changed or to get the BIOS settings changed.

    BIOS Disclaimer:

Modifying BIOS/ complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) settings incorrectly can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from booting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that any problems resulting from the configuring of
BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Modifications of the settings are at your own risk.

Hope the above information was helpful. If you need further assistance, we will be glad to assist you.

  3. I entered BIOS settings, but i don't see any option to change boot priorities

    Original title:Changing Boot priorities settings

I have Windows 10.0.10240 version installed on my laptop. I have Lenovo Ideapad 500 laptop.

I want to install Debian OS on my pc alongside Windows (i.e dual operating system). I am trying to install Debian via an installation DVD, but the problem is that the pc doesn't boot from DVD. I entered BIOS settings, but i don't see any option to change boot
    priorities unlike Windows 7.

I also read several posts on the web and hence tried some of those techniques but haven't been able to get the work done.

This is what i have tried :

    (1) Tried to boot pc from DVD by disabling Secure mode and Fast Boot in BIOS settings.

    (2) Tried to boot from a live USB by enabling the USB boot option in BIOS settings.

Please suggest full solution to this problem

  4. Nothing under boot option priorities - stuck in bios

Windows stuck in automatic repair; Can't access BIOS/ boot menu

I've changed the boot order through both BIOS and the boot manager, as my original post stated. Neither did anything, but both were functional in the past. Neither listed the windows boot manager, either. Previously, it would boot just as expected whenever
other media was set as the first option, so I'm pretty sure there are no issues there.

As my original post suggested, I've already tried out the steps you gave. I've gone through all the options listed in the boot menu, UEFI or not.

My BIOS and boot menu settings were at their defaults when all of this started, so that's been tried already, if those are what you're referring to.
