Windows 10: Notification Area Background Color

Had a major Windows10 update yesterday took more than 1 hr. and I was able to fix all of my personalizations except the background color on the icons at the bottom right of the screen. Hovering the mouse over that area I can see the pop up window identifying each icon but the icons are barely visible. I try to change the background color but no matter what color I choose makes no difference. The only way to fix it is to change the scheme to black which makes all my menus black with white letters and this I don’t want. Before the update the taskbar had a black color and all icons were nicely visible. Any help? Thanks

You can try these steps in changing the
Background color:

• 
  Go to
  Settings.
  
• 
  Choose
  Personalization.
  
• 
  On the left-side of the window, select
  Colors.
  
• 
  Then
  Choose a Color.

Wallpaper (background) color

I realize that the background color changed from blue to black. I will try to help you with this issue.

  Did you make any changes to the PC prior to this issue?
  

Close all open windows, restart the computer once and then login to the computer to check if that helps.

Further you may also want to ensure that default theme is selected. Follow these steps:

  Press Windows key + I to get the Settings screen.

  Click Personalization and select Themes.

  Click on Theme Settings to select Windows Default Themes.

The color of unread notifications are pale

• Which notifications are you referring to?
  
• Are you facing this issue in any application or in Windows?
