Notification area "Select which icons appear on taskbar" not saving

Hi. Does anyone else have this problem? I turn off the "always show all icons" and customize what I want to be shown. I don't like clutter, so I like hiding a lot of the systray crap. Almost every time I reboot though, the "always show all icons" has automagically became enabled again and I have to go in and turn it back off.

Anyone know why it does that? Win7 did the same thing too. Drives me nuts!

    :)

  2. "Safely remove hardware" icon not showing on taskbar

Go into Settings > Personalisation > Taskbar. Near the bottom, in Notification Area, Click "Select which icons appear on the taskbar". Now you can decide which icons you do want to appear.

  3. "Safely remove hardware" icon not showing on taskbar

As I said in my original post

' In Settings "Select which icons appear on the taskbar" I have set ON "Safely remove hardware and eject media" '

    Unfortunately, this didn't work.

Turn off the ones you don't need at startup in Task Manager, and the rest drag and drop into the up arrow (^) to hide, see if this helps. Here is an example of things I have turned off(could do more, but this is enough for me):

Well.. I have it configured the way I want, with the only icons showing being the ones I want. Problem is that Windows is forgetting that I have told it to NOT enable the "Always show icons" option if I reboot. It turns it back on. What I'd like to figure out is why it does that, and if there is a way to stop it.

Bump. Still an issue. Anyone have any idea how to fix it so the "always show all icons" stays disabled?
