Windows 10: Notification when I plugged in a device in the headphone jack is no longer showing up

There was a notification? that showed up whenever I plugged in a device in the headphone jack and it would give me all these options like whether I'm plugging in earphones, in-ear device, over-ear-device and all that I'm probably not being exact about what it said but I remember it said in-ear and over-ear and earphones, anywho. it had more stuff on it. Another really cool feature was that the volume would not be the same if I took my headphones off. Like I could be at 50 with my headphones on and if I took the headphones out of my laptop the volume would be at 0. Or whatever I had set it

Computer Won't Auto Change the Playback Device When Headphones Plugged In/Out

The "Speakers" device is actually the front Headphones jack. My Headphones don't show up as it's own device in the list when they're plugged in. Nonetheless I tried your suggestion by plugging the Headphones in with the front jack as default, then I unplugged
them, set the TV as default, and when plugging the headphones back in, it didn't recognize and stayed set to the TV. I have change it manually.

 

Headphone jack no longer working with Realtek.

When you plug in your Head set the Mic goes in the red lack and the Headphone jack goes in the green jack. This will automatically cut the sound to the speakers. I am talking about the from inputs. The Realtek Audio Console can be downloaded from the store. Below are some images that may help.

 

Windows 10 rear jack usage

I just "upgraded" from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 and now my rear audio jack no longer recognizes my headphones.

When i plug the headphones into the rear jack the list of sound devices shows them as "not plugged in" because it thinks headphones can only be plugged into the front jack. When i plug headphones into the front they work as intended but this is not an option
for me.

Is there any way of changing which jacks are allowed to be compatible with headphones?

Or to add the rear jack as an option under the headphones device that is already there?
