Windows 10: Notifications disappear when I click on them windows 10

Help!! I use an HP all-in-one with windows 10..ever since I can remember this has been happening. So it's not new and not due to an update so please don't tell me to troubleshoot updates Let's say I get a notification from my email..it pops up in the bottom right corner.. I click it because I want to either make it bigger, or take me to the email it's notifying me of. But it takes the notification AWAY. And I have no way of finding it again! So who knows what it was trying to tell me... please tell me how I can get it to stop deleting it and start doing something helpful like taking me to w

Yeah, thats not a solution she is interested in......I've suggested that course of action. Thanks though.

Just to clarify, I feel that there MUST be a step, or series of steps to turn off JUST the wireless notification sound. Thats what Im driving @ here.

Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

I appreciate the steps that you have done. I suggest you please follow the below steps and check if it helps:

  Type notification on the search bar and click on
  notification & action settings.
  
• 
  And click on select which icons appear on the taskbar.
  
• 
  Turn on show app notification separately for each app.
