Windows 10: Notifications not going away when I press close

When I try to get rid of a notification on my computer by pressing close, it doesn't work for some reason, and lags for a few minutes until it finally goes away, and then another notification pops up and it's really annoying for me. Any help will be appreciated!

Yeah, thats not a solution she is interested in......I've suggested that course of action. Thanks though.

Just to clarify, I feel that there MUST be a step, or series of steps to turn off JUST the wireless notification sound. Thats what Im driving @ here.

Follow these steps to check if it works:

You may just turn them off the notification as you need.

Sorry, that turning off Network Notifications should be there, unless your vendor disabled the advance features.

• Tap on the Menu key > Advanced.
• Uncheck "Network notifications"

What make and model is the phone; and, who is the carrier.
