Windows 10: Notifications open minimized instead of on top

Hi, hope someone can assist. I'm running a new clean install of Windows 11. Everything seems to be working fine except for one small irritation that I didn't experience on my previous install.If someone emails or WhatsApp web message me for example, I get a notification in the right hand pane. When I click on the notification, it then opens the email or message. This is correct.However, if I have something open like my browser or any program really, and I then click on the notifications, it then opens the email or message minimized. I see the orange blinking icon on the taskbar indicating that

Yeah, thats not a solution she is interested in......I've suggested that course of action. Thanks though.

Just to clarify, I feel that there MUST be a step, or series of steps to turn off JUST the wireless notification sound. Thats what Im driving @ here.

You may change the required settings from the below suggested steps.

Method 1:

Click on Start > Type Skype >
Right click on it > Open file location > Click on
Run tab > Select Normal Window from the list of options to get the desired settings.

Method 2:

1. Launch the Skype application.
   
2. Click on the drop down next to Gear Icon.
   
3. Click on Tools > Options > Check the box with the option
   Minimize to the notification area Instead of the task bar.

how to let a clicked notification of a new email in the notification center, let you open that email in a Outlkook 2016 (locally installed) instead of the Mail app?

More information ...

I tried also with another PC, a Surface 3 one and the Outlook 2016 issue related to Notification Center is the same even doing all the steps previously suggested: this time all the new email are listed in the Notification Center but always greyed a, when
clicked, no email is opened.

PS: I had to reply, because I could not even modify the previous post (clicking to "... " did not open the editing mode: is there something wrong with this Community forum??
