I have made install copies for Windows 10 update version(July 29 release). Does it work for this new November build? If not then how do I get new install copies for build 10586? I am satisfied with the first build.

    Try this link Windows TH2

Or this one Create Windows 10 installation media

this one will create the ISO file for the latest version of Windows 10 with the official release of
    Windows 10 November Update (version 1511 build 10586 from TH2 – Threshold 2 branch),
    Microsoft has also updated the
Windows 10 Media Creation Tool to include and incorporate the latest build. From now on,
the ISO images and/or USB or DVD installation
media created by the Windows 10
    Media Creation Tool is of
Windows 10 Version 1511 Build 10586, and will install this version directly.

November build 10586 question about install disks(usb or dvd)

Threshold 2 10586 is available to be installed via your Windows Update.

If you have trouble getting it from Windows Update, you can use the link below to download Media Creation Tool.
    http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/softw...load/windows10

After the Tool is downloaded, run it.
You will be given 2 choices:
    1. You can select Upgrade this PC now option which will begin installing.
    2. You can select Create installation media for another PC option which will begin downloading the ISO files to your computer.
After iso is downloaded, you can right click at it > click Mount > click Setup, exe. That will start installation. Activation will be automatic.
    Or,
You can burn the ISO to a bootable media (DVD or USB) and use it to do a clean install. Activation will also be automatic.

November build 10586 question about install disks(usb or dvd)

I used that same web site for build 10240 several months ago. Has it changed to reflect the new November build? This reminds me of win 7 sp1. I only had the original Win 7 without sp1 install disk. I could delete sp1 and then use the install disk I had bought.

But this is not the same idea. I can't delete the new build because it is not like sp1 in Windows 7. Do you understand?

Does this mean that every time window 10 has an upgrade(or update?) I have to make a new install disk using that web site: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/softw...load/windows10 ?

    Confused Jim

Yes. The link to media creation tool is for the latest version threshold 2 10586.

RE : But this is not the same idea. I can't delete the new build because it is not like sp1 in Windows 7. Do you understand?
    No, sorry. You lost me.
You don't need to "delete" the build. Just install the new build over the one you are using.

Yes, but you don't have to. If you save the ISO file , you can use it to reinstall. But a bootable DVD is the best choice to do a Clean Install.

    Jim77,
    WAIT.
The Media Creation Tool that Microsoft posted earlier has been taken down and replaced it with the old version.
It is NOT clear which version the Tool contains.
Do not use it until the mystery is cleared.
I'll let you know when I know for sure.

I noticed that too. Also the Tech Bench download has reverted back to build 10240 as well, as of 9:35 PM last night anyway, when I downloaded it.
