Windows 10: Now 2 Microsoft accounts, 1 bad and not working because of old verification email address...

Trying to fix a friends Microsoft account that had a hotmail email address. The verification email address for the account was the person web page email address which no longer works. The hotmail password had been changed before hotmail became outlook. When trying to log into the Microsoft account, the password for hotmail would not work, to change the password Microsoft wanted to send the verification code to the persons second email address that was no longer active. I somehow managed to get a password reset and replaced the persons second email address that he no longer had with a new gmail

Here is the step to remove that old email address.

Start typing an email address into the “To” field. As soon as you see the old email address being recommended as one of the potential candidates, use the down arrow key to scroll through the list of suggestions. Once you highlight the old email address, type the delete key. In many cases, this will actually remove the entry not only from the current list of suggestions but from future suggestions as well. You may even find that as you mouse over the drop-down list the highlighted item will have an “x” to explicitly allow you to delete it.

Just do this step and your good to go.

details like confirm : a) the 2-Steps verification, you set it up in

a "Microsoft account" Yes-No : b) After you set up the

2-Step verification" you Logged in the - MSoft account by typing a sent it

code or you're, trying to login the first time,.? Have you received

a confirmation < code > in your. Email address or Phone

but when "Enter it" doesn't work : Explain please
