Windows 10 Sync Settings disabled

I have 2 machines, one a Surface Pro 4 (i7/16gb) and the other a Surface Book (i7/16gb). Both are running Windows 10 15063.413. I recently "upgraded" from my Surface Pro 4 to the Surface book. Both are joined to my AD domain and both are configured to use
my Microsoft account for app access. Everything works fine EXCEPT on the Surface Book the option to sync settings is disabled. The setting is fine on my Surface Pro 4.

I have wiped the Surface Book twice now (once on my own the second time by Microsoft Store help) and still it does not work. If I sign into the Surface Book with my Microsoft account the sync settings are fine. When I run a resultant set of policies for
my AD account and my Surface Pro and then Surface Book they are identical.

I have modified the local security policy to try to turn on syncing. I directly edited the registry to try to get it to work and yet nothing fixes this issue. This is the epitome of frustration as I have literally sunk well over a week of productivity into
troubleshooting and reinstalling.

Nice. Just don't buy one until Microsoft solves the power management (battery drain during sleep) issue.

Ditto that on battery management but looks a great travelling machine --Bye Bye Laptop !!!!! -- Nice to see with docking station and external monitor relay good resolution offered on this --love to try it out on a large 4K monitor !!!.

Might get myself the years EARLIEST Xmas Prezzie !!!!

This article ( Reason Behind Microsoft Surface Tablet Fail at NFL Game - ABC News ) says that the Microsoft Surface tablets used by the New England Patriots at yesterday's AFC Title Game, stopped working properly. But the Denver Bronco's Surface tablets had no problems.

Is it possible to sabotage just part of a Local Area Network?

 

You do know that the wireless
APs are different on each side of the field! One could go down and the other could continue working. Patriots just not lucky on Sunday.

 

NFL announced it was a bad cable. They fixed the issue on the field connecting to a wired connection. They had been having issue with this as the communications of coaches from filed to press box uses the same network. There was another big failure in the first game of the year with the Steelers vrs Patriots. The NFL will be testing a new technology this weekend at the Pro Bowl.
