Windows 10: Now you see it, Now you don't

For a while I could see all computers on my home network and could access the shared drives on them, and also print to the network printer which is hard wired to one of the desktops. . Then something happened. Now only the Windows 7 machines show up under "Computers" - all the Windows 10 machines are gone. However, you can see the Windows 10 machines in Media Devices, and you can still play music from them. Magic.


All machines whether it be Windows 10 or Windows 7 will see the Windows 7 machines. However, none of the Windows 10 machines show up (even on itself) except in Media Devices.


Yes - network discovery is on

Yes - printer and file sharing is on

Yes - they're all in the same domain and homegroup

Yes - I've tried a number of "solutions" in the forums concerning Windows 10 version 1803.

Computer browser, FDPHost, FDResPub, NetMan, UPnPHost, PNRPSvc, P2PSvc, P2PIMSvc are all set to Automatic (Delayed Start)



Frustrating, since the printer is attached to a Windows 10 machine. I'll move it to a Windows 7 machine soon - so at least we can get to it from any machine.


I'm about ready to give these suckers flying lessons.


Yea, USB drives come in handy to move stuff around the machines and print stuff, but that is a royal PITA.


Why did it all work before, but not now? Go figure. Must have been some Windows 10 update messed it up - version 1803? April is about the time they all disappeared. Then you could see and transfer files, etc. Now..... only Windows 7 machines show up in "Computers" and will give me full access to them. Again, Windows 10 machines still show up in "Media Devices" and can play music from them.


I quit. Can anyone provide a solution that'll actually resolve this issue? Thanks.


BTW - everything in this house is either Win 10 Pro, Win 7 Pro, a couple stand alone XP Pro (no network nor internet access), or DOS. Windows 7 and DOS 5.00 were the best Operating Systems Microsoft ever wrote. Windows 8 and 10? Not so much.

WarRock 3D Detection don´t works

Hello Guys,

i had a problem with my Card. The card didn´t wanted to change in 3D Modus. Ok now i removed the other 2 Pins and now it runs in 3D Modus in 3DMark06 too. The Card is a HD 2900GT. But my Game WarRock don´t runs in 3D Modus. Is there a List where i can start the game in 3D Manual? Because in Automatic it don´t want start because the Card don´t see that it is an 3D Game. Can someone help me?

Nice, no answers what so ever... still can`t open new notifications, still right-click don`t work on taskbar... and still no answer as to why
