    npsvctrig maybe Rebooting my pc

i can use thepc to browse and work in 3d modelling programmes with no crashes, i start a game and after 10-20 minutes the pc just reboots with no BSOD

i have replace everything in my pc apart from the cpu, i have sent it to be looked at twice and both times they replaced parts but the problem persists i have changed the power supply twice 650w and 850w and still restarts, i am able to play world of warcraft for hours on end, but if i try to play for example phasmophobia i get 10 minutes in and problem occurs, i use my pc for work and i can use all my programmes with no issues unless i start rendering them the pc turns of, the gfx card is new.

i am not very pc savy and would love some help as my last resort is replacing the cpu and im worried this wont fix the issue. this has been happening since last novemember

    A window 10 driver "npsvctrig"

    Hi Jeffrey,

Here are the possible causes for the blue screen error:

    • Faulty hardware
    • Corrupted software/driver
    • Software conflicts

For us to isolate the issue, were there any changes made to your computer prior to this issue(e.g. Windows update)?

In the meantime, we suggest booting your computer in Safe Mode to check if the default settings and basic device
drivers are not causing the issue.

For more information and troubleshooting steps for the event IDs, please check the useful links below:

We're looking forward to your reply.

PC reboots (no BSOD) on CPU stress

    Hi fellow TPU members,

not too long ago, the box my gf's PC was transported in gave way on the stairs. Yes, you got it right, that sent a PC tumbling down a flight of steps alright.

Stuff broke. Also, stuff remained intact somehow.

I bought her a new case, new CPU cooler and we removed the floppy drive, so far so good. But the PC started crashing for no apparent reason, without a BSOD.

    I tested:
    • Memtest86+, left overnight, 0 errors
    • Scanned the HDD for errors, nothing there
    • Left FurMark burning up the GFX card and drawing some power, no problems there
    • Ran Ubuntu from a Live CD doing nothing special, didn't crash
    • Ran OCCT, Linpack, Prime95, all 3 caused reboots within minutes
    • Oh, and I disabled "Restart on error" so I'm sure it's not a BSOD.
Now, I can still try and test something CPU intensive on Ubuntu, but my guess is the CPU didn't survive.
Before I do anything drastic like whippin' out the magic wallet and get her a new AMD quad, is there anything I didn't see?
I'm guessing the motherboard could be borkered as well, but can I check that other than replacing the CPU with a working one?
Any suggestions on which proggies I can use from an Ubuntu Live CD to stress the CPU?

Kindly refer to the steps on this article on how to troubleshoot blue screen errors on your machine:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/14238/...

I also suggest to perform the steps provided by Greg Carmack - Windows MVP 2010-20 on this thread with a similar issue that you're experiencing and see if it fixes your issue with random restarts on your machine:

    I hope this helps.
