I'll look in Task Manager and the only notable thing using the drives besides my program is labled "System". If I tell task manager to open the file it selects "ntoskrnl.exe" in the System32 folder. It will only be using about 5% of the CPU and up to 20 MB/s of the hard drive, but things run really slow during that time. After about 10 minutes things go back to normal and it's resource usage will drop to less than 1% CPU and maybe 0.1 MB/s on the drive. For example, just trying to save edits in a txt file w

  3. Windows 10 1909 Causes Secondary Hard Drive to not be Recognized

Installing the Windows 10 1909 Update causes my secondary hard drive to not be recognized.

    Steps to confirm issue:

    • Secondary drive not visible in Windows Explorer
    • Secondary drive not visible in device manager
    • Secondary drive not visible in disk manager

    Steps to replicate issue:

    • Installing 1909 update

    Steps to resolve issue:

    • Uninstall 1909 update

Since updates can only be delayed for so long, an actual fix would be appreciated.
