  1. Null Driver Creation

    Hi Windows 10 Subreddit.

I am in a bit of a pickle and I could use some help. A quick backstory. We have a customer that bought some machines from us last year. Those machines shipped with Windows 10 64 Bit. Once they got those machines, they determined that they actually needed Windows 10 32 Bit, as that is what the End User's Software Suite is designed to work on. Not a big deal, except for the fact that the hardware didn't all have 32 Bit drivers available. They had a guy who worked for them who built them some "null drivers" so that the hardware wouldn't load and thus wouldn't wouldn't show up under device manager. It did not affect functionality, as the offending hardware isn't crucial to what they are doing.

Fast forward to today, and they have ordered new hardware from us. Same issue, 32 Bit OS without all the drivers. But their guy is no longer with the company, and they have decided that because we are building the hardware it's now on us to figure this out. If we ship with "Unknown Devices" or "Devices missing drivers" then we will be considered "Non-Compliant" and they will not accept the systems. The Hardware Manufacturer does not have 32 Bit drivers. I know, I have asked them.

Could anybody here help me create these drivers? I am completely out of my wheelhouse on this one. All of the online information I can find seems very incomplete or overtly technical (which isn't surprising.) I need to get this out the door by tomorrow afternoon.

    The Devices in question are;

PCI Data Acquisition and Signal Processing Controller

    PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_A160&SUBSYS_090715D9&REV_31

    Unknown Device
    ACPI\INT345D\3&11583659&0

    Many Thanks!

Taskbar bug: switching to another window -will not appear at the front

Follow either of these steps to fix the issue with the Active window hiding behind.

    Method 1:
I suggest you to disable window by hovering over it with the mouse and check if it helps. To do so I suggest you to try the below given steps and check if it helps:

    1. Press Windows key + X key and click on Control Panel.
    2. Select or click Ease of Access.
    3. Click or tap onEase of Access Centre.
    4. Click on Make the Mouse Easier to Use was uncheck Activate Window by hovering over it with the mouse.
    5. Check if issue is resolved.
    Method 2:
I would suggest you to completely uninstall the touchpad driver and reinstall it. Kindly follow the below given steps.

    1. Press “Windows key + X” and click on “Device Manager”.
    2. In the list of devices, you should see the touchpad drivers.
    3. Right click on the device and then select "Uninstall".
    4. In the uninstall dialog, make sure you select the option to delete the driver package from the system. This causes the driver package installed earlier to be deleted.
    5. In the Action menu of Device manager, select “Scan for Hardware changes” option. This will cause the device driver to be reinstalled. Once the driver is installed, close all windows and restart the computer.
