Thanks for your suggestion, but this is a prepaid phone --- no contract. As I said T-Mobile lists the number under an unknown carrier and suggested I contact Microsoft.

My warranty replacement 1520 is SIM locked - AT&T refuses to unlock.

My 1520 was mailed into the repair center for a replacement handset, and I was mailed a new device, however, it is SIM locked to AT&T, and AT&T is not available in my area. I use a regional GSM carrier, Viaero.

My original 1520 was an unlocked AT&T unit, so I figured that maybe AT&T would be willing to unlock this device, but they said that since I am not a customer, they cannot help me, and even went so far to say that since my IMEI number is not registered in
their sytem that they cannot unlock the device.

AT&T then adviced me to contact Nokia for the unlock code. I'm at a loss. How do I contact Nokia for an unlock code? Would they even have one?
