Windows 10: NumLock/Caps etc. keep getting reset to off state after restart/turn off. How can i fix this ?

Also to mention I don't want to set the option so its always on in the Registry or always off. I want my PC to remember the state of the lock keys. So lets say if i have it on and restart i want it to stay on. If i have it off it should be off on the next restart.

Caps lock and numlock notification

I have windows 10 and I am trying to turn off caps lock and numlock notifications. All the guides are for previus version of windows. I need help to solve that issue. thanks a lot

 

Numlock retains settings on restart

Hi,
I tried searching and didn't find anything about this, but it's highly likely that this has already been brought up. What gives with the numlock setting resetting every time you restart with Win10? This never occurred with any other version of Windows (at least not to my memory) and for those of us who use numbers in the password, and after YEARS of never having to activate it upon restart, it's kind of a pain in the butt to type in my password, swing over to the numpad, and then have it not respond. I always try to remember to turn it on before I type in my password, but sometimes (often) I forget.

I don't want it to be on by default - I just want it to remember the state from last restart. I found a workaround using a registry edit and stuff via google, but I think it should just remember the state by default.

I suggest you to uninstall and reinstall keyboard drivers and check if it helps.

Steps to uninstall and reinstall driver.

• Press “Windows key + X” and click on “Device Manager”.
• In the list of devices, you should see the keyboard drivers.
• Right click on the device and then select "Uninstall".
• In the uninstall dialog, make sure you select the option to delete the driver package from the system. This causes the driver package installed earlier to be deleted.
• In the Action menu of Device manager, select “Scan for Hardware changes”
  option. This will cause the device driver to be reinstalled. Once the driver is installed, close all windows and restart the computer.
