    Numlock keys are not turning back to its normal keys again


    For some reason my internal laptop keyboard which is 60%The numlock keys 7,8,9,U,I,O,P,J,K,L,M... functions like the Numlock keys, but when i tried turning it back to its normal function by using the function keyfn . All it did that it made the key "U" functions like the left key in the keypad and "O" for right, "K" for down and "8" is UP.... It feels like it has something to do with the NumLock feature... Yes, i tried fixing it for days, doing many things, i checked the language its US QWERTY, i tried using the BIOS And manythings.... But for some reason it kinda fixed when i long pr

    Num lock key turns off

    Hi Susan,

    The status of the Numlock key is the same as it was in when you shut down your computer properly. If it was on when you shut it down it will be on when you again turn the computer on. In the meantime, let's check out if the mouse keys are turned off and see
    if this address the problem. Follow the steps below:

    • Click the Start key, select Settings.
    • Click Ease of Access, then Mouse.
    • Toggle Off Mouse keys.

    If the issue persists, we suggest that you try the troubleshooting steps that was provided by
    Kiran Kishore on August 19, 2015 in this
    thread     to enable Numlock in startup.

    down arrow key stopped working

    My razor lycosa down arrow key decided to not respond at some point today. The other ones work and so does the numpad arrow if i turn off the numlock. Sounds like its just broken and im screwed, but any suggestions?

    How to enable NumLock key in Windows 10

    Neither the registry hacks or holding down the NumLock key at startup works for me; as previously stated, the only thing that does work - with my system configuration - is to shut off fast start up. In order to do so, here are the steps again in case you
    missed it:

    1. Go to the Control Panel (right click on Start button and choose "Control Panel" or press the "Win-x" keys to get to the same menu and choose Control Panel.)

    2. Click on the "System and Security" setting and then click on the "Change what the power buttons do" option under the Power Options heading.

    3. Click on the "Change settings that are currently unavailable" link near the top of this window.

    4. Under "Shutdown settings" uncheck the box in front of "Turn on fast startup (recommended)"

    I have no idea what they put in the fast startup programming to cause the NumLock key to be disabled - and how it makes start up faster to actually take the time to disable the key after it has been enabled by the BIOS I don't know, either - but turning
    off it off will make the NumLock key remain activated. I hope it works for you, too, Janedgc.
