Windows 10: Numpad . only works if Combined with Windows Key and Other users

Hello this problem somewhat persisted out of nowhere, first it was my Windows Key out of nowhere not responding when being pressed, second it's the Numpad . I can use the Decimal Point/Period if I only hold down Windows Key but it doesn't respond on it's own, another strange thing to note is that On screen keyboard also doesn't respond unless you press the windows key on it.I've tried:Updating driversUninstalling driversEase of Access Mouse setting for controlling mouse is turned offUpdating Windows with a cumulative updateTrying the Keyboard on a different PC Powershell CommandsSFC /scannow -

Ctrl,shift and alt keys are working with number pad but window key combination not working

I am not saying my numpad is not working. Its working with ctrl alt shift key combination. Its only not working with window key combination.

Key combinations not working

Thanks for following up. In here, you can find the list of all the keyboard shortcuts in Windows 10. Check it out and
see which key combinations are still working on Windows 10, and which are not.

We also tested on our end and only the Alt + F and Alt + P are working fine, and this is on a PC that is on the Fall Creators Update. May we suggest that you update your operating system to 1709 and see if the key combinations will work.

We'll keep an eye out to your response.

 

Since update numpad doesn't work properly anymore

Good evening,

On a HP Pavilion dv7 laptop, since a Windows10 update two days ago (version 1511, OS 10586.104), my numpad has gone nuts.

For example :

• key 2 writes 72, locks caps and opens a Bing search for "help with windows 10"
• key 3 writes *3wc
• key / writes /4 and triggers a menu for alternative screens
• etc...

Here is what I already attempted :

• uninstall and reinstall keyboard
• add an alternative language keyboard
• check "ease of access" options
• try the numpad in the BIOS : it works fine
• try the numpad in safe mode, now read this : it worked fine ! I restarted in normal mode and the keyboard worked fine also for a minute or so. Then it went crazy again. Now it doesn't work in safe mode anymore.

Any suggestion welcome,
