Windows 10: NVIDIA 353.45 causing TDR Error and other BSOD when reboot-how to fix?

Computer was running fine then I decided to update to the newest driver since it said it was more stable-had an error during installation...tdr error.... then when I rebooted it kept giving me errors like dx error and couldn't get to desktop kept getting BSOD. I have a backup hard drive with an earlier version of the driver and booted up just fine and was able to play BF4 so I don't think it's a hardware issue-GTX 960.

How do I fix the issue on my primary hard drive if I can't get to the desktop at all? Is there a button I can hit for safe mode?

Windows 10 blue screen during the welcome back.

I got to a point in the install that says "Hi there, welcome back!" with a "next" button in the bottom right of the screen. however when I click "next" button. My computer freeze for
5 second and it BSOD with error ""Video TDR-Failure nvlddmkm.sys". I search this online and found that it was caused by nvidia driver. So, I try to enter the safe mode and uninstall it, but when I enable safe mode in startup setting, my computer restart and
go back to the "Hi there, welcome back!" menu and it still freeze.

Please help me to enter the safe mode. Thanks

 

Fall Creators Update crashes on SLI Surround Configuration

I am getting the same error as most people on this thread: BSOD/TDR error, whenever I try to activate SLI. Started after the Fall Creators Update. Reinstalled windows 8, then 10, multiple times. Tried various Nvidia drivers to no avail. Video cards
run fine with stress tests. Individual cards run by themselves.

It is struggling to install the Nvidia drivers each time, usually doesnt finish succesfully and have to try again.

Running GTX 780's.

When will MS put out a fix?

 

MS got rid of the Safe Mode (F8) option in Windows 8, and they haven't restored it in Windows 10. (I wish they had. It was convenient.)

If you have a bootable install medium (DVD or USB flash drive), you can do the equivalent:

It also would have been possible to create a Recovery device, but it's a little late for that now.

 

If you were able to get to the login screen you can hold shift while clicking "restart". You can also try smashing Shift F8 at boot, which will work on some systems, but not on most newer systems; otherwise you'll have to create a recovery USB/DVD drive from a system running the same OS.

Edited: Btw, typically if the system fails to boot three times in a row the advanced recovery options screen will appear on its own.
