Windows 10: NVIDIA Control Panel stopped working after an update from the Windows Store

I tried reinstalling and it still doesn't start. When I click it in the start menu, nothing happens. When I right click my desktop and click it from the drop down menu, I get the image below.





Now I can't even manage my expensive GPU. The control panel shouldn't be this crappy. Are there any fixes?

Every Time I Clean Boot my Nvidia Control Panel Stops Working

I tried to download Aerize Optimizer from Microsoft Store and it failed with error code 0x80240024. I did a suggested clean boot and my Nvidia Control Panel won't open. Sometimes it gives the message "Nvidia Control Panel Application 8.0.1.something
has stopped working..." Sometimes it just won't open. In any event, I've never been able to download Aerize Optimizer or use my Nvidia Control Panel after a clean boot.

Do you have the DCH driver installed? You need to grab the controlpanel from the Microsoft Store if you do. If you don't then just DDU your driver in safe mode, plug out the ethernet/wireless connection and install the standard Nvidia driver manually. This will fix it. I can write or link you a step-by guide if you are unfamiliar with it.

Nvidia Control Panel app(?) not working

I just installed the latest driver for a new GPU (below) which installed the app store version of the NVidia Control Panel. Therr was no mention of it being a DCH driver. Are the new drivers the DCH version which use the store app?
