    I'm sure this problem is extremely common and there are plenty of different solutions online. However, I haven't found a single one that has worked for me.I'm using an ASUS TUF gaming A15 laptop model FA506QM/FA506IC the box and laptop has QM, but in recent times most software from Asus and websites only provides IC Ryzen 7 5800H RTX 3060 laptop seriesAfter downloading the latest NVidia driver, I noticed my screens not coming back on after their usual soft restarts. After around 30 minutes I give up and power off my laptop using the power button. When I turned my laptop back on, I didn't n

  2. Display driver not supporting and device manager not showing Display adapter option

    Hi Maheen,

    Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

    This issue could have occurred due to these reasons:

    • Incorrect settings.
    • Corrupt or outdated display driver.
    Try the steps listed here and check if it helps:

    Method 1:

    I suggest you to download and install all the available Windows Updates including Optional Updates. Check if it helps.

    Method 2:

    If the issue persists, i suggest you to uninstall and re-install latest display driver from the computer manufacturer website and check if it helps.

    Step 1: Uninstall display driver.

    • Right-click on the Start Button and click on
      Device manager.
    • Double-click on Display Adapters to expand.
    • Right-click on the display adapter driver that is listed and select properties.
    • In the window opened, click on drivers tab.
    • In the drivers tab, Click on Uninstall option.
    Now restart your computer and check, if the problem persists try step 2.

    Step 2:

    Re-install display driver from the manufacturer website.

    Hi,

    Thank you for posting your response.

    I would suggest that you follow the steps below and check if you can find the adapter in Device Manager.

    1. Right click on the Start Menu and then click on Device Manager.

    2. From the list of Hardware, find the Microsoft Display Adapter and check if you can find the device in question.

    I would also suggest that you follow the troubleshooting steps provided in the first link and check if it helps.

    NVIDIA Display adapter gone from device manager.

    Wireless adapter not found in Device Manager

    I ran the Lenovo Solution Center. Network Adapter was not listed in the hardware scanned. Not sure if there is a separate listing for that normally or not.

    Ever since I ran a power cycle the adapter has not appeared in the Device Manager.

    Does anyone believe removing the adapter and putting it back would solve the issue? I would rather not open my computer if there is little chance of it solving the issue. I am a complete novice doing this.

    Not sure if this is relevant but in my Network Adapter in Device Manager there was "Microsoft Kernel Debug Network Adapter". It has since disappeared.
