    Nvidia Driver 566.03 is automatic changing my resolution into smaller res.


    Nvidia Driver 566.03 is automatic changing my resolution into smaller res when i turn off my monitor. When i disable the Nvidia Driver and turn off my monitor, it is working perfectly fine but stuck at 60 fps. When i enable the Nvidia driver it stop working and changes into smaller res when i turn off my monitor. Im using DP And tried HDMI still doesnt work like intent to. AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 6-Core Processor RTX 2080 SUPER Prism+ 1920x1080 when monitor is on when monitor is off, it changes to smaller resolution that i dont know.how i know this? im sharing screen and watching it on

    Hello JerryXia1,

    Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

    As you are facing issues with the screen resolution, I would suggest you to change the display settings.

    Method 1: Change screen resolution

    1. Open Start, select Settings > System > Display > Advanced display settings.
    2. Under Resolution, select a new value. We suggest you stick with the resolution marked “(Recommended) ”

    Method 2: Update Display drivers

    Follow the article to update the drivers from Device manager- Update drivers manually in Windows - Microsoft Support

  3. Change resolution without signing out?

    Hi,

    Thank you for posting your query on the Microsoft Communities.

    I understand how you feel about the situation. I suggest you some steps which can resolve your issue.

    Have you tried updating or reinstalling the graphics card driver?

    I suggest you to uninstall and re-install the Display drivers in compatibility mode. Here is the steps:

    1. Go to your manufacturer’s website and download the Driver’s setup file for your computer.

    2. Press Windows Key + R on your desktop screen to go to run box.

    3. Type devmgmt.msc and hit Enter.

    4. Under Driver, expand, then right click and select Uninstall.

    5. If you are prompted to Confirm then Confirm.

    6. Go to the location where you had saved your downloaded setup files of the drivers and right click, then select Properties.

    7. Select Compatibility Tab.

    8. Place a check mark next to Run this program in Compatibility mode and select the operating system accordingly from the drop down list.

    9. Let the driver to install and then check the functionality

    Here are the steps to change the screen resolution:

    • Right Click the Desktop and select
      Screen Resolution.
    • Click the Make text and other items larger or smaller link.
    • In the Change only the text size section click the
      drop down menu
      to select the items you want to change.

    There’s a possibility that there are changes in the configuration of your device after the update that causes the issue. We would recommend that you follow the troubleshooting steps below for us to resolve the resolution changes
    on your device after the update.



    • Roll back your graphics driver


    • Right click on This PC and go to Properties.
    • From the left pane select Device Manager.
    • Under Display Adapters, find your NVidia driver, right-click on it and go to Properties.
    • Under Driver tab, go to Roll back driver.
    • Restart your computer.


    • Disable your screen saver


    • Go to Settings.
    • Select Lock Screen.
    • Scroll down to Screen Saver settings.
    • Disable screen saver.


    • Manually change resolution


    • Right-click on the desktop.
    • Select Display Settings.
    • Go to Resolution and use the drop-down menu to select the right resolution for you.
