Windows 10: Nvidia Geforce 6150se not working right after installed the newest 22h2 update for Windows...

Hi all.My graphics were working right when I was running 21h2. After I updated to the latest Windows 10 22h2 Update the windows and Taskbar start flickering they appear and dissappear The only solution I've found is uninstalling Nvidia or disabling it, I'm using the latest drive on Nvidia - Version 309.08 and I have checked for updates and then restaring the computer. After restarting it, I re-enable Nvidia and the graphics start to work good, but when I restart or shutdown the computer and turn it back on, the problem comes up again. Then, I have to do the same loop again for it to work c

hey i have a Compaq Presario CQ5600y pc that wont let me update to windows 10 because NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430 isnt compatible. Theres one Optional update for it that keeps
failing to install, i do not know why... here are the details....

NVidia GeForce 6150SE - Not Supported?!


I upgraded from Win 7, and originally my onboard GPU was listed as NVidia GeForce 6150SE. Now though, in Win 10, its listed as a "Microsoft Basic Display Adapter"...

I tried to update the driver to the latest Win 7 driver for my onboard GPU, and it wouldn't update it. Only thing it did do is fudge my network drivers (next time I need to remember to do custom not express)... *Tongue

Edit:
At the time of making this post, I just got done talking to NVidia Support. They stated that this chipset wasn't supported and odds are wouldn't be updated to Win 10.

What I don't get is, how its working then.. Yeah its got the basic display adapter driver from MS, but I'm lost. lol
I work from my computer, so this 1280 x 1024 screen res isn't so great in my opinion..

Not sure if the support rep was right or not, anyone else got this driver to work on Win 10 yet?

I have basically the same setup as you have. I was able to install Windows 10 by downloading the Media Creation Tool. When you run the tool, choose "Upgrade this PC now" to install Windows 10. The installer removed the nvidia driver and replaced it with
a basic Microsoft driver with limited functionality. I then went to the nvidia website and downloaded the GeForce 6150SE nforce 430 driver for Windows 8.1. When I installed the driver, everything was working
fine again. Hope this helps!
