Nvidia Geforce GTX 770 - unable to recover from a kernel exception

For the past couple of weeks I have been receiving a crash on and off, mostly while browsing, my screen will go black and then come back on a short time later with the error "Nvidia Display Driver Stopped Responding and Has Recovered"

From a bit of searching and past experiences, I have found that this is apparently a long lasting problem that few people have been able to fix, most people seem to say it is an Nvidia driver issue, because of this I didn't think much of it.

However today while playing multiple games, I have received another crash I haven't received before:

My screen goes black for a bit, before coming back on and then displaying the crash shown, followed by an error to say that the game I was playing at the time has stopped working.

Today Is the first time I have seen this crash, but the crash has occurred at least 4 times today.

As mentioned I wasn't too worried about the first crash I was receiving but after receiving this new crash today (unable to recover from a kernel exception) I am a bit more worried that maybe my GPU is starting to fail.

I am currently running the latest Nvidia drivers for my GPU and running Windows 10 64-bit, any help on what may be causing these crashes or any tests I could do to help get to the bottom of what may be causing these crashes would be greatly appreciated.

Im not the best at GPU troubleshooting so even with a program I don't know what to look for other than temperature.

    thanks in advance,

    :)

  2. Unable to install nvidia geforce gtx 770 driver in Windows 10

Okay so I upgraded the Nvidia drivers to the latest release and then retried, long story short, it was the same as before. It will not recognize the video driver away from the Microsoft driver and can't get past 1440 X 900 resolution.

  3. Unable to install nvidia geforce gtx 770 driver in Windows 10

Original Title[4K with a nvidia geforce gtx 770 and Win 10]

After 4 months of being reminded daily about upgrading to Win 10 I finally caved in, I am currently using Win 7 Ultimate and have a Nvidia GTX 770 outputting 4K via HDMI. I updated and started an epic (not in a good way) 4 hour journey installing it and
finally reverted back to Win 7. The problem was with the Video driver installation as microsoft would not install anything but their driver. I searched the internet with my laptop and found that this is a common issue. I struggled for 2 hours hours to eventually
give up and revert back (thankfully without issues) to Win 7.

So the question is 2 part, one the driver installation and 2nd the 4K issue. Anyone had any luck with this issue?
