    I have tried updating all display and audio driversdeleting sound cards then restarting the pcusing the Windows TroubleshooterUnplugging the HDMIset up digital audio in Nvidia Control PanelNothing has worked. Here is an image of the Sound Control Panel where Nvidia Output is greyed out and there is no option to enable it.Here is an image of Nvidia Properties and it says enabled.Go!

    NVIDIA High Definition Audio problem

    My desktop, HP Omen #870-119 have the driver problem in Device Manager and show with an exclamation mark on that line. I was going to uninstall NVIDIA High Definition Audio in Device Manager also I have the other driver, Realtek High Definition Audio too. The Realtek High Definition Audio driver is working properly but not NVIDIA High Definition Audio driver. But I was told by someone that I have to change in BIOS to have Realtek High Defintion Audio in Sound. And I have no idea which key command get into BIOS on my HP Omen #870-119. Also my graphic card is ZOTAC Geforce GTX 1050TI 4GB and is working with no problem. So what is your suggestion about to uninstall NVIDIA High Definition Driver from Device Manager or in program? Oh one more thing is about my operating system and is Microsoft Windows 10 Professional 64X version 1909.

    nvidia high definition audio not plugged in windows 10

    So, my good audio, says its not plugged in. i can hear through my headphones, but when I goto sound, right click and go to playback, it says" Nvidia high definition audio not plugged in" so I get **** sound and I need help

    AMD High Definition Audio Device Not Plugged In

    John,

    Thanks for your suggestion, but the sound playback device was greyed out again this morning and reads: "AMD High Definition Audio Device Not Plugged In".

    Once again, uninstalling AMD High Definition Audio Device and deleting the driver in the Device Manager and rebooting brought the sound device back.

    Any other ideas?
