Windows 10: NVIDIA Quadro AA Modes

Hello all,

I was looking through the different AA modes for the quadro card in my Precision laptop. I have a limited understanding of how AA actually works. What has me curious is for example with the GTX 670 in my desktop has different labeled modes than the ones for the laptop quadro.

The modes listed for the GeForce:





Then the modes listed for the Quadro:





My main question here is this:

How do the different modes differ?

For instance the Quadro has three different 8x modes listed. One is 4xMS 4xCS and the other is 4xSS and 2xMS, then the other is just 8x MS. How do these differ and which one is better?

Windows 10 update 1709 problems

Hi fungus55, which nVidia card are you using, that model comes with one of the following devices:

NVIDIA Quadro FX380 256MB PCIe

NVIDIA Quadro FX580 512MB PCIe

NVIDIA Quadro FX4800 1.5GB PCIe

NVIDIA Quadro FX1800 768MB PCIe

NVIDIA Quadro NVS290 256MB PCIe

ATI FirePro V5700 512MB PCIe

ATI FirePro V3700 256MB PCIe

ATI FirePro V7750 1GB PCIe

Right click your video card, choose properties

On the Details Tab, change 'Property' to 'Hardware Id'

Right click the top item in the resulting list and select 'Copy'

Paste that line here, and I will see if I can find a solution for you . . .

 

Windows 10 Creators update disables nVidia 3DVision OpenGL stereo

Mostly good news today:

NVidia beta driver 384.76 from June 29, 2017 is working for OpenGL stereo on Windows 10 version 1703 "Creators" in the following reported cases:

-- Desktop with nVidia Quadro M2000

-- Desktop with nVidia Quadro M4000

-- Desktop with nVidia Quadro K620

The customer who reported success with the Quadro K620 first tried an nVidia Quadro 4000 in the same computer with driver 384.76, and it didn't work. The 4000 predates the K, M, or P-series cards. The 4000 is about the oldest card we would consider trying
with Windows 10, and has an older OpenGL version than the later series. The 4000 is listed by nVidia in the supported products for 384.76; I only have this one case to report that it does not work.

 

No one knows the answer yet, huh? Ive searched google and couldnt find much on it.
