Windows 10: nvlddmkm.sys causing freezes.

For quite a while now I have been experiencing issues about once a day or once every other day in which when I'm playing a game, watching YouTube, or simply browsing google chrome and my PC will have a random audio stutter followed by the PC completely freezing requiring a hard restart by physically clicking the power button on my tower in order to fix it. There doesn't seem to be a pattern when this happens and it doesn't necessarily happen when my PC is under high load.The MEMORY.DMP file says this:KEY_VALUES_STRING: 1 Key : Analysis.CPU.mSec Value: 2842 Key : Analysis.DebugA

cpuz154_x64.sys, may be causing random freezes ?

iCUE creates the cpuz154_x64.sys file in the Temp folder, have you tried temporarily uninstalling iCUE to see if that is causing the problem?

With regards to freezes, that can have so many causes, corrupt driver, corrupt BIOS or something causing the CPU, GPU, RAM or Disk to be running at a very high percentage, it is vey hard to trace.

What driver versions have you tried currently for your graphics?
If it is the newest version, 361.43, try rolling back the drivers.

Daemon tools, Alcohol 120% and Power Archiver Pro uses SCSI Pass Through Direct (SPTD), which is a well known cause for BSOD's.
Please remove Daemon Tools and run the SPTD pass through remover.

1. Uninstall Daemon Tools
2. Download the SPTD standalone installer and follow these steps:
   • Double click the executable to open it
   • Click on the button shown below

If the button is grayed out, like in the image, there is no more SPTD installation on your system, and you can close the window

Yes I do, thank you very much for your answer ! Still I don't understand why it is seen as a temporary file ?

Also, do you have an idea of what could possibly cause those freezes since cpuz154 doesn't seem to be a pb ?
