Windows 10: Nvlddmkm.sys Driver Crash

Hello,I am currently experiencing frequent NVIDIA driver crashes when playing games on my ASUS laptop. Once this happens, the game would just freeze for couple of seconds and the display would returns to its normal operation. Sometimes, TDR gets triggered and the screen would go black instead. I've been trying to deal with this issue and finding for this solution since 2022 and became worse one year later. I am unable to play most of my installed games without them crashing in some minutes, sometimes near an hour. I will list the needed information which is relevant to this issue below.Affecte

What driver versions have you tried currently for your graphics?
If it is the newest version, 361.43, try rolling back the drivers.

Daemon tools, Alcohol 120% and Power Archiver Pro uses SCSI Pass Through Direct (SPTD), which is a well known cause for BSOD's.
Please remove Daemon Tools and run the SPTD pass through remover.

1. Uninstall Daemon Tools
2. Download the SPTD standalone installer and follow these steps:
   • Double click the executable to open it
   • Click on the button shown below

If the button is grayed out, like in the image, there is no more SPTD installation on your system, and you can close the window

 

Getting nvlddmkm error in event viewer, game crashing

1) Run Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool
At least 8 runs

2) run administrative command prompt:
sfc /scannow
dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
chkdsk /x /f /r
For the chkdsk it will require a reboot and may take many hours. Plan to run it overnight.
To view the chkdsk results run administrative command prompt or powershell: get-winevent -FilterHashTable @{logname="Application"; id="1001"}| ?{$_.providername –match "wininit"} | fl timecreated, message | out-file Desktop\CHKDSKResults.txt
