I have tried sfc /scannow, memory diagnostics, DDU & re-install using the NVIDIA provided drivers on their website, downloading without WIFI on, etc.I have finally tried another fresh install today and before any downloading other programs, It seems my GPU can never "hold" the graphics driver.I have a decently spec'd PC, running an RTX 3080. MSFS CTD with nvlddmkm "Event ID 0"

i recently got a new PC with an RTX 3080. Since the beginning i kept getting crashes to desktop after a few minutes into a game. It is always the same "nvlddmkm" error:

Description: The description for Event ID 0 from source nvlddmkm cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer. If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

The following information was included with the event: \Device\Video3 Error occurred on GPUID: 500

I discovered, that the NVIDIA setting "Prefer Maximum Performance" led to these crashes. By returning the setting to "Normal" i am now able to enjoy most of my games ... except Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020.

I tried every possible fix, from increasing the GPU processing time via the registry, to reinstalling drivers and even reinstalling Windows. I also tried downclocking the GPU wie MSI Afterburner and setting an aggressive fan curve (i rarely reach GPU temperatures above 65 °C now).

It seems, that both the Event ID "0" and especially the Event Data "\Device\Video3Error occurred on GPUID: 500" are quite rare. I wasn´t able to find help on exactly my issue. I attempted most solutions on the internet regarding all kinds of "nvlddmkm" errors, but unfortunatly none of them worked for me.

Event ID 14 from source nvlddmkm cannot be found.

I recently bought the Ryzen 7+1660ti variant of Lenovo Legion 5 15ARH05H. In the first week owning it, I already experienced daily BSODs with error related to nvlddmkm.

Since reinstalling Nvidia drivers using DDU did not solved the issue, I did a fresh install of windows and the BSOD went away but I'm still getting the nvlddmkm errors in event viewer without the crashes though. Until recently, while the computer is waking up from sleep mode, the monitor stayed black though the power button and the keyboards backlit is on. Was forced to make a hard shutdown to wakeup the computer again. Incident happened yesterday and the day before that.

Kindly help check if this are software issues or GPU is toasted.

Help with BSOD

Hi, I've gotten more than usual BSOD's lately (I didn't really pay mind to it as it happened once a week).

I get the two following BSOD's:

KMODE EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED nvlddmkm sys and

DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

As I know nvlddmkm is nvidia, I've tried to re-install it and even installing older drivers to get it to work with no avail.

Any help is appreciated,
