Windows 10: OBJ with texture not showning

Have an OBJ file with MTL and BMP in the same folder, - it shows the texture correctly in 3d viewer on one of my PCs, but not on my other PC. Both are running win 11 - its the same problem in different CAD programs.Any suggestions?

models and pieces to make something new.

To assist you better, please provide the information:

• Have you created another 3D format files through 3D Builder app and checked in another 3D modelling program?
• When you say that "but the OBJ generated does not seem to contain texture/color information", by which app or applications have you tried to open the OBJ 3D file?

I suggest you export the 3D file to another file other than OBJ file. Check if the texture and picture is visible or not.

is there a way to export obj .mtl 's?

i'm having trouble with 3d builder not blender, i need to get the .mtl from 3d builder in order to put it in blender with textures. i don't actually have a .mtl so 3d builder must be getting it from the obj file since there's nothing else in the folder
im storing the .obj in, my main question is if there's any way to extract the textures from the .obj using 3d builder so i can have the texture and model as separate files since blender can't find the texture but 3d builder can. sorry if i sound rude i just
dont use forms on any website that often.

In this case, let's try this first:

1. To export a .mtl file from Blender just select the “Materials” button in the “Extra Data” column that comes up in the .obj exporters GUI. If you hover the mouse over the button the tool tip will tell you this.

2. The .obj importer will automatically use the .mtl file if it’s present in the same directory as the .obj file. If the model has textures make sure they’re in the same directory as the .obj file or in a sub dir below the top level directory of the .obj. You
can also select the “Image Search” button to drill down in search of the textures (see below for where these textures are and need to be).

The .mtl file is human readable so you can see what textures you need to gather from Poser as they will remain in their respective directories and obviously the exported .mtl file will contain only the file name and no path data as that would vary with different
users.
