Windows 10: Obs is not letting me record or go live, what does these messages mean? I feel like i tried...

Failure to record OpenGL window with OBS

I run OBS, switch to the window to record, and press the hotkey I've assigned to record. Then I wait 3 seconds and press the "stop recording" hotkey. During this whole time I see the desired animation in the window to record.

What I get out of this is a videofile with the correct length, but in the video:

• the OpenGL window does not animate in the video
  
• the OpenGL window it has the OBS window on top of it
  

The OBS window was not on top of the OpenGL window when I was recording.

Am I doing something wrong?

 

Using OBS to record TV Programs from my screen

I use OBS Studio to record TV streaming sports on Comcast. However the screen capture only works on certain steaming channels but not others, for some reason. I fail to understand why some channels work and not others on the same video streaming app. Would it be because some streaming channels activate digital rights capability but others do not?

One of the OBS thread suggested re-installing OBS version from 2019 which solved the problem in his ability to record BBC stream programs: "https://www.tenforums.com/software-apps/170961-problem-using-obs-record-uk-television-my-screen.html". Any other suggestions?

Hello! Sorry you are having this issue. Hopefully we can fix it.

I suggest recording with a different program like OBS and trying again. Are you able to do that?

I assume the sound is fine when not recorded though?
