    Occasional BSOD when hitting Ctrl-Alt-Del


    Im slighlty concerned about an infrequent BSOD problem that has occured a few times 3 or 4 times? over past 1-2 months. It only ever happens when im playing a games and press Ctrl-Alt-Del to get to the desktop. When this does happen, the BSOD display only lasts a few seconds, and it happens randomly, so unfortunately I havent been able to pin down exactly what the BSOD menu is saying and provide that information here, sorry. After the BSOD screen, my computer reboots very quickly. No signs of any major issues like weird sounds, lagging, etc. Just all happens very fast. Ive only owned this la

    Ctrl Alt Del, Vista

    On a domain you won't get Task Manager when you hit Ctrl+Alt+Del. You get a crazy screen with a bunch of options.

    Ctrl+Shift+Esc has always brought up just the Task Manager, even back to Windows XP days. You just weren't aware of it. *Wink Occasional BSOD when hitting Ctrl-Alt-Del ;)

    Go ahead, try it in Windows XP too.

    Ctrl Alt Del, Vista

    The whole Ctrl+Shift+Esc should be used to get that crazy screen with those options and Ctrl+Alt+Del should bring up TM.
