Windows 10: Occasionally an internal HDD does not show up diskmgmt

(Very) Occasionally an internal HDD does not show up diskmgmt and I need to reboot to get it back.
Out of curiosity - does anyone out there have any ideas why?

This was again the case to day. Had a number of external drives connected.
After proper 'Removal' and reboot, the HDD showed up again.

CrystalDiskInfo Health Status: Good

As said, it happened just a very few times, but nonetheless I wonder why...

USB3.0 Issues and Internal HDD shows as removable


Update: So I went to BIOS settings and disabled all Hot Swaps.... here's what's worrying me
1. The HDD is not even listed as one of the connected devices!!
2. Other SSD's do appear.
3. The issue still persists. The internal drive shows under Portable Devices.

HDD in a HDD caddy is not showing up in the disk management

Hi,

To assist you better, I would like to ask some questions:

• How are you connecting the HDD Caddy?
• What is the make and model of your computer?

If you are connecting the device using USB, I suggest you to check if other USB devices are recognized as USB devices or Other device. If it is displaying as other device, then the issue might be with the USB port. So, I suggest you to update the USB drivers
by following the steps below:

• Press Windows key + X, select Device Manager.
• Expand Universal Serial Bus Controller.
• Right click on the drive, select Update Driver Software and follow the on-screen prompts.
