Windows 10: Oculus Rift S

I bought an oculus rift s because I have always wanted to play Elite Dangerous in VR and found out to my dismay it has a windows 10 requirement.

(I previously had not had the desired specs to run the games i wanted so i didnt see it beneficial to me to go with windows 10)

Begrudgingly i accepted defeat and went to update to windows 10 and it kept failing. After a week (at least daily for a week) of contacting microsoft for assistance and recieving loads of help (great insight, great ideas, awesome attitudes, very pleased with the assistance) i tried to do some troubleshooting on my own from updates to power settings.

What i found out (and what i believe is the roadblock for windows 10) is my computer doesnt restart properly. If i ask it to shut down it will do so just fine. Boots up when i hit the power button. (For the windows 10 it isnt saving the install process cause it wont restart)

If i ask it to restart my peripherals will go dark except for my yeti mic, my power light stays on (and my screen flashes once the "no input detected) and goes dark. The only way to bring it back is to hold the power button to shut it off and then a standard boot up.

If there is anyone who has had this issue before or has any input i appriciate any help!

Oculus Rift S Restock

I wanted to purchase an Oculus Rift S for myself from Microsoft because of the student discount. The Oculus Rift S has been sold out everywhere, with restocks lasting only minutes. This is the same for the Microsoft website and I was wondering if anyone
would be able to tell me when the next restock for the Oculus Rift S will be, or even if you can tell me when Microsoft usually gets restocks for the Oculus Rift S. Thank you!

 

How many sensors with the Oculus Rift?

Hi, i was going to buy an oculus rift however i wanted to know how many sensors come in the oculus rift+ touch bundle? If it is only one sensor will I need to buy another sensor to play vr? Thanks in advance!

DisplayPort/Oculus Rift S Issues

So I'm using a custom built computer I built myself with an i9-9900k, a GTX 1080 ti and 32 GB of RAM, three monitors and an Oculus Rift S. I have the primary monitor hooked up via HDMI 2.0, secondary monitor using DVI, and the third hooked up via DisplayPort.
The Oculus Rift S is hooked up via DisplayPort as well. However the issue I'm having is that every time I plug in the Rift, a few things happen. First, the Rift software shows the Rift hooked up with DisplayPort perfectly fine for a second or two, then cuts
back to it not being connected. At the same time, the third monitor (which uses DisplayPort as well) flashes black as if it disconnected and then reconnected. I've scoured the internet looking for an fix for this issue. Apparently it's a fairly widespread
between Windows and DisplayPort going back at least a few versions of Windows itself. I have not found anything to fix this issue and have tried every possible thing that I can find, from updating the GPU drivers and Windows updates to unplugging the monitors
(all of them) and plugging them back in in every order I can think of and restarting the system in between.

Is there anything ELSE I can do to get the Rift to work beyond the obvious steps I've taken?
