Windows 10: ODBC Connection to Oracle SQL Developer

I had posted this in the Oracle Community. They closed my post and told me to check with the .Net/Windows community. am developing an app for a client that will be using Oracle for the back end and MS Access for the front end.The attached image is the error I get when attempting to test the connection in the ODBC Data Sources 64-bit Administrator.For username/password, I've tried: case as created, all lower case, all upper case, and other combinations.Windows 10 Pro, Version 21H1, Build 19043.1110Oracle SQL Developer Version 20.2.0.175, Build 175.1842MS Access 2019 Version 2107, Build 14228.

SSIS with Oracle connection doen't work in SQL job agent

I use Oracle connection in SSIS. There are two ways to access Oracle data in SSIS package, one is MSORA Connector (Microsoft Connector for Oracle by Attunity), another is ODBC connection.

I can use both ways when execute in visual studio. But it can’t be done in SQL server as step
in job agent.

Do you know what's the matter cause this issue? Thanks!

 

ODBC connection to oracle database in SSIS

Following error occurs while creating ODBC connection to Oracle database 12c in SSIS





i have created ODBC DSN which itself is connecting to database. When using the same DSN in visual studio 2012 for ODBC connection to Oracle Database 12c. The error occurs.

Following are the resources used:

1.ssdt - VisualStudio(2012 shell integrated) x86

2. Oracle database 12c

3. ORACLE DRIVER (SQORA32.dll)

4. WINDOWS 7 (64bit)

 

ODBC connection to SQL Server

Hi,

My client insists I establish an ODBC connection to SQL Server using SERVER=IPaddress in the connection string, when developing an Access interface using linked tables. I have been able to set up a User DSN via ODBC Administrator, setting the SERVER=IPaddress.

However what if the computer's IP address changes? Then the connection will fail, is that correct?

Is it possible to automatically reset the DSN Server IPaddress?

How do I know if the IPaddress is Dynamic or Static?

Another question is: why can't I set the SERVER=IP (Gateway) address to connect to the Server?

I hope this question is clear enough.

I am afraid that although I am competent with VBA, I know very little about networks, TCP/IP etc
