  1. Odd file location that I can't delete

I have a picture file .jpg that has an odd file location. I can see the file in my directory, I can open it. I can't move or delete it. The location in properties shows \\?\D:My Pictures. How do I correct this. The actual directory it is in is D:\My Pictures.I'm not getting an error message, I just can't move or delete the file.I am running Windows 11 pro, not sure what other system information you need.

    :)

Odd system files located on the second HDD...

This is kinda an odd thing that happened to me...
I noticed that some system files (2 folders named "System" and "System64") are locateed on my second drive (2TB Toshiba HDD) although the OS is installed on the M.2 drive (System32, Windows and other folders are located there).
So my question is, can I move them to the M.2 drive, so that OS files would be located on the same drive ? Because at the moment, I can't boot my computer without having the HDD installed.

    PC Specs:

    • Windows 10 Pro, Build 22H2
    • Ryzen 3 3300X
    • GTX 1660 Ti
    • 16GB DDR4 RAM
    Storage:

    • M.2 Nvme SSD (256GB Adata) - This is the drive where my OS is installed
    • Toshiba 2TB HDD - This is the drive where those 2 folders are located ("System" and "System64")
If additional info is needed ask me, I'm looking forward to solve this problem.

    deleting hard drive files

    Hi,

May we know what type of file are you trying to delete? Would it be Office documents, media files, or picture files? If you're trying to delete files for free some space on your device. We suggest to perform a Disc Cleanup. Kindly follow the steps below to
    perform the task:

    • Type in Cortana Disc Cleanup
    • Choose the files to delete
    • Click on "Clean up system files"
    • Click on Ok

For any concerns, don't hesitate to get back to us.

    Regards.

Odd file location that I can't delete

    Files in mediaplayer on W7

I have some files listed on my windows media player library showing that are no longer on my hard drive. It will not let me delete them for some reason. Waht can I do to get rid of these? I right click, asksme if I want to delete when I click on delete, but nothing happens after that. Obviously the files cannot be accessed when the location no longer exists, any ideas?
