Windows 10: Odd Issue With Windows 10

Hello, I'm hoping someone would be able to assist me with an odd issue that started occurring to me recently. Whenever I boot up my PC or restart it, instead of taking me to my user account to enter my pin at the lock screen, it automatically takes me to a different account with my name and says "The username or password is incorrect". If I select OK I can then select my actual account from the lock screen, and then enter my pin and have no further issues. I checked for all the user accounts under control panel and there is only one listed, which is the one I currently use. I noticed this happening once I changed my Microsoft account email and had to create a new account on my PC in order to verify my new account with Microsoft.


When I changed my email, it kept asking me for my password with my old email address and wouldn't let me past that screen since the email was incorrect and I had no way of changing it. I found that the only solution to get past that was creating a new local account entirely and then removing the previous account from Windows. I haven't found a way to remove that other account from the lock screen at startup as of yet. Sorry if this is confusing and isn't 100% clear, I took some photos but don't see a way to upload them with this initial post. If there are any questions, please don't hesitate to ask and I'll do my best to provide an answer :

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

It's basically what I mentioned above, small issues here and there ,but nothing to end your day.. for the most part.

I know it's anecdotal, but for my experience 95% of the time it's perfectly fine. The issues I've run into wouldn't be enough for me to roll back , but they would be enough (had I not installed it yet) ,to avoid it for another couple weeks which is why I'm suggesting it to the OP
