Windows 10: Odd problem, odder solution

    Odd problem, odder solution


    I came home from work today to find my computer had gone haywire. My three USB drives were not being seen by windows and windows was running dead slow. First thing I did was reboot, but that took forever, then I loaded from a restore point, still no luck with the drives but I got the speed back. I reloaded a two day old backup from Backupper, still no luck with the drives. I have 3 Insignia NS-PH3-3A4AP-C self powered USB 3.0 4 Port switches. One of which had been online and working fine until today. Trade out that for one of the others, and no joy, switch to the last one and still no joy. I

    Odd monitor problem

    Odd monitor problem *NEW INFO*

    I have a monitor (listed in my specs) that sometimes does not turn on when the computer is started or brought out of sleep mode. If I unplug the power cord & plug it back in it works fine, no other problems with it at all. Any thoughts? Is it eminently going to fail, should I RMA?

    Windows 10 1709 System Restore problems...

    That seems to be an attempt at Option 2 in the tutorial, which requires you to
    a. Boot to a command prompt (Did you?)
    b. You then seem to be mixing steps 3,4 and 5, thus your command is incorrect.

    I suggest Option 1 is easier.

    If you still have problems, please repost listing each specific step and saying which option from the tutorial you are using. Thanks.
