Windows 10: Office 2010 does not work on Windows 10 1909

Microsoft:

Do you not test your Office products on Windows 10 before you force an update?


Office 2010 does not work with Windows 10 version 1909.


I have to go back to a Windows 7 machine to use Office.


Can you not solve this problem? Shouldn't you be more careful to not create these types of problems with your forced updates?


Perhaps you understand that I am not at all pleased with Microsoft.

Mostly OEM computers come with MS office starter pack preinstalled, if you had MS office installed on the computer in the past I would suggest you to follow the steps under the section

Office 2010 compatibility with Windows 10

We understand as you have a concern whether Office 2010 will work on Windows 10. Ideally when you upgrade the PC from Windows 7 to Windows 10 all the apps remain unchanged. Office 2010 is compatible to run on Windows 10. I suggest you refer to the

An upgrade moves your PC from a previous version of Windows—such as Windows 7 with Sp1 —to Windows 10. An upgrade can take place on your existing device, though Microsoft recommends using Windows 10 on a new PC to take advantage of the latest features
and security improvements.



However, before installing Windows 10 on your computer, we need to make sure that the

PC meets the requirements to install Windows 10. Therefore, I suggest you to reply with the below requested information:

• What is the model number of your Dell PC?
  
• From where did you purchase Windows 10?

To upgrade the PC from Windows 7 to Windows 10, you need to download the Windows 10 ISO using the Media creation Tool:

Slow Windows 10 Boot After Office 2010 mass update

Hi,

Welcome to Microsoft Community and thank you for posting your query.

Let’s try simple steps and check if this helps. I suggest you to uninstall/reinstall Office 2010 and check if this helps.

• 
  Press Windows key + X, select Control Panel.
  
• 
  Click on programs and Features, right click on the Office and
  uninstall it.
  
• 
  Now try reinstalling it again and check.
