Windows 10: Office 2010 Product key not working

My old laptop died and I had to purchase a new laptop. I have a 2010 office product key but cannot get it to download. It won't even recognize the product key. What can I do?

Microsoft Office 2010 is a separate product from Microsoft Windows 10 developed by Microsoft Corporation.

Microsoft Office 2010 uses its own unique product key. A Windows 10 product key will not activate Office 2010.

If you don't have a Office 2010 product key, you will need to purchase one.
